Cai Rang Floating Market Tour
From the world-famous Cai Rang Floating Market to the canals, rivers, and villages of the Mekong, our 2-day tour to Can Tho is a world away from the city of Saigon!
Following a hotel pick-up, we’ll journey to Vinh Trang Pagoda. It’s one of the most beautiful religious sites to be found anywhere in Vietnam, and also one of the most original, boasting a mix of Vietnamese, Chinese, and Cambodian architecture. We’ll continue to the regions of My Tho and Ben Tre, to explore the local scenery on foot and via a traditional Vietnamese sampan – a wooden rowing boat for multiple passengers.
Spend day one experiencing life as the locals do, whilst sampling the delights the Mekong Delta has to offer. Taste tropical fruits, coconut candy, and honeybee tea. Enjoy the sounds and rhythms of a traditional Vietnamese folk band, and by all means get up and dance! Following a delightful lunch and ride on a local tuk-tuck, we’ll journey to Can Tho City. The capital of the Mekong and Vietnam’s 5th-largest city, here you can enjoy a free evening of dining, drinking, and exploration.
Day 2 brings us to Cai Rang Floating Market, where business and trading has been conducted on the water for more than 1,000 years. You’ll join the sellers on the river, weaving in-and-out of boats, and experiencing one of the most vibrant mornings of your life! After taking in the rest of the region’s highlights, you’ll end your 2-day Mekong tour with a leisurely journey back to Ho Chi Minh City, where we’ll stop off for a delicious lunch en route.
