FAQs

With a local tour guide of course! There’s nothing wrong with making your own DIY trips, but nothing beats the knowledge of the people who’ve grown up here. Vietnam is full of hidden corners and surprising secrets that are far too easily missed by those who head out by themselves. It really pays to have a knowledgeable, multi-lingual guide with you, wherever you travel.

Any month is a great one to experience a Vietnam tour – it all depends on what you’re looking for. The huge majority of our tours can go ahead even in poor weather conditions, and cooler or wetter weather normally means less tourists, so it’s perfect for those who like it quiet.

The wet season for north and south occurs from around June to September, whereas for the central regions, it’s September to April. You’ll also find plenty of sunshine around during these times of year, and every month in Vietnam brings its own special charms.

Vietnam can be loosely split into three regions – north, central, and south – and each has its own weather system. The north has four distinct seasons, whereas the central and south have two (wet and dry). However, like the north, Central Vietnam also gets some cold weather, and January is usually the coldest of all for both regions. The south is usually warm (or super-hot!) all year round.

We would recommend any travelers to bring with them a good supply of sunblock and mosquito repellant. Check the weather forecast in advance, and consider a rain poncho – especially if your tour occurs during the wet season. These are very cheap to buy, take up little space, and can be invaluable! It’s also worth bringing cash should you wish to buy any additional snacks, drinks, or souvenirs.

We try to accommodate any tour requests at short notice, but if possible, please book at least 24 hours in advance to guarantee your place.
