Can Gio Mangrove Tour

Leave the city behind for a mangrove river, jungle, and former army camp! Just 50km from Saigon’s centre, Can Gio Forest is a world away. A UNESCO biosphere reserve, the region is an important habitat given its wetlands and wildlife, making a great ecotourist destination.

Monkey feeding in Can Gio Mangrove Forest.

Once at Can Gio, we’ll take a canoe to the Mangrove Forest. In amongst the mangroves, you’ll find the river to be an oasis of calm. We’ll reach the dry land and follow the paths on-foot through the forest, home to more than 1,000 monkeys, and countless other creatures.

You’ll be able to meet some local crocodiles, and tour a former Vietcong base and army hospital, deep in the jungle. Once finished on the water, we’ll head to enjoy a well-deserved lunch before heading back to Ho Chi Minh City.
